Layer: Bylaw Flood Hazard (100 Year) (ID: 7)

Name: Bylaw Flood Hazard (100 Year)

Display Field: DESCRIPTION

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description: Mapping based on DAS 3D information for Bow and Elbow Rivers, Fish and Nose Creeks and man-made lakes. Floodway mapping indicates the new course of the rivers/creeks under 1:100 year flood conditions ( the rivers will have different channels). The Floodplain mapping indicates which portions of land will be under water (not necessarily flowing water) under 1:100 year flood conditions. The boundaries on these maps indicate spot elevations and coordinates. Although this is collected and maintained in 3D format the information is exported to 2D to facilitate users using MicroStation.
